Mery Melrose is an independent Cognac House with an organic vineyard and distillery in the heart of the Grande Champagne region of Cognac led by Francois Mery.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Longer ageing process is necessary with Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, and this is evident as the notes of vanilla, honey, cinnamon come through. A lively taste of fruit balances woody notes. Dried apricots and figs meets rose petal and spiced bread.
Palate: The initial taste will envelop your taste buds with warm spices and tropical fruit. Demerara sugar and persimmon edge their way in as you continue to sip. The finish is long, fruity and gently sweet, almost like a ripe grape.
