Cawdor Springs is the ‘trade name’ given to one of our favourite distilleries in the Highlands of Scotland, not too far from Inverness (ok, I cannot say more, just Google it)

The distillery itself is not open to the public, is one of the most sustainable in the industry and has a beautiful duck-laden pond just in front of it, not all the ducks are good flyers, of indeed landers… 😉

Having been matured for its FULL maturation in a Chateau Margaux Wine Barrique, this Cawdor Springs single malt is big on the wine character, big on the juicy berry and tannic qualities you’d expect all with a rather decadent depth of mouthfeel and character.

Tasting Notes:

Nose Orange zest, dark chocolate, red berries, tinned apricot, and vanilla.

Palate Caramelised nuts, cinnamon, chocolate raisins, craberries, and toasted marzipan.

Finish Candied orange peel and gingerbread spice.
