Bottling Notes:
Named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic coast, Sanaig is a vatting of both sherry and bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adding a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character.
Cask Type: Bourbon & Sherry
Peated
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Pineapple chunks and white grapes. Hints of fresh coffee carry the earthy, subtly spicy peat and toffee cubes.
Palate: More light peach fruits, with dark chocolate raisins and a whisper of red berries. Peat grows and grows, with a little black pepper too.
Finish: Quite long with coastal peat lasting.
