Bottling Notes:
Boulder whiskies, distilled in Colorado at the Vapour Distillery create a rich, vibrant single malt and they are always on the look out to extract unique flavours from their spirit.
This whiskey was finished for an additional nine months in ruby port casks after aging for three years in freshly charred American oak casks.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Stewed raisins and grape skins, dried cinnamon, with notes of chocolate covered Brazil nuts in tow.
Palate: Tangy notes of rhubarb crumble, stewed plums, and berries, backed up by dense fruitcake spice, orange zest, and candied ginger coated in dark chocolate.
Finish: Drying oak spice tangles with juicy forest fruits, with sticky ginger cake, and a prickle of cracked pepper.
